Amanda's Baked French Fries

This is a great and simple recipe for some really tasty baked french fries. We use this recipe often in the summer when an easy side dish is needed to go with a great juicy hamburger.

Baked Basil Fries

2 russet potatoes, sliced into thin strips
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil or melted coconut oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dry basil flakes (or as much fresh basil as you would like)
salt and pepper to taste

Slice your potatoes into french fries, then place in a large plastic Ziploc bag. Add the other ingredients and mix until the fries are covered with the seasonings. Place onto a greased cookie sheet (or seasoned stone wear) and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes (or until they are at the desired crispness), flipping the fries over at about 15 minutes.

  1. I made these last night instead of baked potatoes and they were great. My husband loved them. Thanks.
