Nourishing Crock Pot Carnival: Cream Cheese Crock Pot Chicken

Yummy, yummy, yummy. I love coming home to a house that smells like good food. Even better if it is good AND healthy food! Make sure you check out Passionate Homemaking for many other great Crock Pot Recipes on Tuesday, November 17!

Check out this link to Nutritional Weight and Wellness (my nutritionist works for this company) for a great Crock Pot Recipe! It is called Cream Cheese Crock Pot Chicken. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite go to meals as I can set up my Crock Pot and Rice Maker in the morning so when I get home the whole recipe is almost ready. All you have to do then is add a block of cream cheese to the Crock Pot, steam up a vegetable and set the table!

To make the recipe healthier, I use dry beans I have cooked, fresh diced tomatoes and homemade salsa instead of store bought salsa, canned diced tomatoes and canned black beans.

It tastes so good and makes great leftovers!

  1. Excited to try your recipe! One question though - my husband and I eat a lot of rice with the rice cooker too but can you leave it on all day after the rice is done? I've had trouble with it burning after I leave it in too long?
